A 7 Weeks Young Artist Summer Camp Program (July to August)
Choose from:
1) Private music lessons (for ages 5 and above) 60 minutes once or twice a week
Choose from Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Voice (classical or opera), Violin and Flute. Instrument is required, can be rented from Music stores such as Long & Macquade or Tom Lee.
2) Musicianship & Ear training (for ages 5 and above) 60 minutes
We use Kodaly and Orff music method from Germany, developed during the mid-20th century by Zoltán Kodály. His philosophy of education served as an inspiration for music education which was then developed into the method over many years by his associates. It is the most renowned method in the world. Through vocal and instrumental exercises, musical games, activities, and songs, the students work on learning the very foundations of music. Students learn the basics of aural skills, rhythm and ear training. (Instruments provided)
3) Music Theory (Rudiments) (for ages 7 and above) 60 minutes
Fundamental music elements such as recognizing notes or musical notation, the use of these notes as pitch used in a master staff, topics include the application of rhythm or time, dynamics, note intervals, key signatures, music scales, melody and notation. Great class for deeper understanding of how music is created and serves as preparation for RCM exams.

4) Visual Arts (for ages 5 and above) 60 minutes to 120 minutes
Starting with pencil, pastel and marker drawings guided by very experienced Art instructor, later on we will begin acrylic painting. New projects every week. The students gain the freedom to discover and nurture their interests with a range of artistic endeavors.
1 Hour Art Classes
Kids ages 4-7 (Parent/guardians can join too)
Pencil drawing and sketching, Pastel drawing, Introduction to acrylic painting
90 min Art Classes
Junior ages 8-17
Intermediate pencil drawing and sketching, Acrylic painting, Digital drawing (Included: comic book illustration, drawing software knowledge)
2 Hour Art Classes
Adults and Seniors
Watercolor painting, Acrylic painting, Digital drawing (Included: comic book illustration, drawing software knowledge)
5) Ensemble Club and Choir (for ages 6 and above) 60 minutes
-Group ensemble classes for duets, trios and quartet for same or different instruments. Ensemble class allow students to develop team skills, helping each other to improve. Whether students have the melody or harmony, students learn to listen and non-verbally communicate with each other to create music as a team. Pianists learn the skills of accompanying other instrument or be solos. This class is open to all students who are also taking private lessons in according to this.
